Here's a bit about the founder and president of Errand Angels.
I’ve been asked several times “what inspired you to create Errand Angels Shauntel?” It’s not a hard question for me because “Errand Angels”, is and has always been my destiny.
It’s just taken me 45 year to create it. It starts, with my entire family, as we are the helping hands kinda family! It has always just been my ‘thing’, to help people in any way I can and it started as far back as I can remember.
As a young adult I worked in property management for several years. One day I was at work & noticed a woman having a difficult time lifting the lid off of the dumpster to throw her trash away. As I walked up to help, she was also carrying a small oxygen tank. I asked if she needed a hand; one thing lead to another because I noticed just how much she did all on her own, but also how an extra pair of hands could've really benefited her.
From then on I helped her around her home and went grocery shopping for her. I helped her wrap and mail out gifts for her grandchildren during the holidays, and, of course, walked out to the trashcan with her.
I realized independent or not, everyone can use a helping hand sometimes & that’s a big part of what we offer at Errand Angels.
